Hello, I am a Level 3 qualified Pilates instructor, registered with CIMSPA (Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity).
I worked in the NHS for 20 years as a receptionist, clerical officer and a secretary. 19 years of this time was with the Mental Health Teams which is an amazing place to work with amazing caring people. I've always loved helping others.
As a result of sitting at a desk for some years I was inspired to start Pilates to improve my posture. I have been practicing Pilates for over 16 yrs now and Yoga for 15 yrs. It keeps me flexible, strong and my posture has improved. It also help with my stressful headaches.
One day my Pilates instructor informed me I was really good at Pilates and said I should teach it, I laughed it off at first but then couldn't stop thinking about it, so I did my research and decided to study to become a Pilates instructor myself.
After a lot of studying and learning, I decided to reduced my hours in the NHS and I gained my Level 2 qualification and went on to gain my VTCT Level 3 Diploma Mat based Pilates & Advanced Mat Pilates. This took me 3 years training and I'm still developing. I also gained my VTCT Advanced Anatomy and Physiology Level 3 qualification which I found very interesting.
My Pilates qualifications have gained me the skills to design Pilates classes for all types of people at all levels with or without health conditions.
I get great satisfaction helping people achieve their health and fitness goals.
I love the way Pilates makes me feel and wanted others to have that feeling too.
