Pilates

Image montagePilates is a low impact, relaxing, mat-based exercise programme designed to help improve core strength, posture and balance. All of the exercises can be done at the individual’s own pace, incorporating breathing techniques to help control the movements.

Pilates can help develop long, lean muscle and promote a healthy, strong, flexible spine. Other benefits of Pilates include improved posture, better muscle tone, flexibility and coordination. The exercises help to relieve stress and tension and promote a feeling of wellbeing.

Osteopaths, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors and General Practitioners regularly recommend Pilates to help with back issues, recovery from injuries and bad posture as its one of the safest forms of exercise today.
